Bendix Ultimate brake pads are specially formulated to offer high friction, high temperature tolerance and measurably better performance across a range of braking conditions. They have exceptional stopping power giving you shorter stopping distances and a significant resistance to brake fade at high temperature. Ultimate pads are recommended for fitment to front and rear to maintain balanced driving, for sports, performance and prestige vehicles. Brakes heat up after a few hard stops and the friction level decreases (fade) meaning you have to push harder to engage the brakes. As can be seen in the graph, Bendix Ultimate maintain their friction level even as the temperature rises with continuous stops, for the same pedal effort.
Not all brake pad material reacts consistently under increasing pressure. Testing different materials at well beyond highway speed produced some very interesting results. As this graph shows, when using general-pupose brake pad material, pressing the pedal harder doesn’t always result in a corresponding increase in braking power. The results with Bendix Ultimate brake pads are different. They have a linear braking response and react consistently, so when you push 20% harder on the pedal, you get 20% more braking.
